The youngest soldier

I think this photo goes some way to showing just how comfortable people are having the soldiers around their city.

If you compare the thought of this young boy running around the tanks and playing with the soldiers whilst holding a plastic gun against the hysteria caused in the US in similar situations this tells you not only something about the coup, but also about the difference in outlook between Thailand and America.

This was taken at Government House where we were all wandering around the tanks and seeing them close up.
