The photo was taken on Mount Victoria, a volcano in Davenport, Auckland (New Zealand) in July 2005 CE.
The statue looks like it should be an old Māori thing, but could be only a few years old for all I know. Any wag who suggests that she is posing alongside me won't be the first, nor I expect the last.
