Paragliding
The first time I got to see anybody do this properly was on Bernie's 40th.
It's a very graceful sport, but looks more than a little nerve-wracking. In the air they can get pretty close and I know from friends who parachuting that this can cause all sorts of problems. Towards the end of the day we did see a collision. Thankfully they both managed to get their emergency parachutes open in time.
All the kit comes in a rucksack so we'd see people stroll up looking like they were going to set down for a picnic too and then twenty minutes later they'd be taking off.
